The Colonel’s Creamery
The Colonel's Creamery started a a hobby for Don Lambert. It combined his love of sweet treats and his interest in entrepreneurship to bring ice cream to Friendly Market. Lambert's father dabbled in ice cream making, and Lambert was always there to assist; eating the product was very motivating for Lambert. He continued to make ice cream as a hobby, perfecting flavor and texture. His edible experiments led him to win several ice cream making contests and the constant pursuit of the ideal ice cream. After recently graduating from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in marketing, Lambert decided to turn a hobby into a business, and the Colonel's Creamery was born. Lambert makes his ice cream in small, 1½-gallon batches, which offers flexibility in flavors and styles.
